New Hampshire Theatre Project
NHTP is a family of artists dedicated to transformational and educational theatre.
We believe that theatre is a catalyst for personal growth and self-reflection, community dialogue and team-building. Based on a unique model of professionally trained artists working "in community," NHTP has invited both audiences and participants to "step outside of themselves" for over 25 years.
At NHTP, there are no star performers
– it’s all about the work we do together.
Based at Portsmouth’s West End Studio Theatre, NHTP presents a professional season of classical and contemporary drama from November to April and a full-length Youth Repertory Company production in May. NHTP also offers year-round workshops, theatre camps and educational programs for all ages.
NHTP outreach includes community collaborations, touring productions, educational residencies for schools and social service organizations, professional development workshops and corporate training. NHTP artists work throughout New Hampshire and northern New England.
A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, incorporated in 1988, NHTP is supported in part by the NH Charitable Foundation, NH State Council for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts. We also receive generous support from individuals, local businesses and community organizations.
